9/11 Exposed As a controversial investigation into the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, questions the physics behind the collapse of three World Trade Center towers. The film is basically a tape mix of archival newsreel, eyewitness testimony, and interviews with engineers, firefighters, and architects, questioning whether the U.S. government was somehow involved in the demolition of the collapsed building that day.

While the air strikes on the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001 are almost widely known, what is less known is that 7 World Trade Center also collapsed hours after the first two impacts. The first part of the film focuses on the symmetrical implosion of Building 7, as structural engineers demonstrate that collapse is a more controlled form of demolition than a sudden event. But the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) concluded at the end of a three-year investigation that the collapse of Building 7 was the result of a massive, long-lasting fire, despite the opinions of many experts to the contrary. The filmmakers considered possible motivations for NIST’s denial of evidence that the fire had caused the implosion.

The second half of the film brings attention back to the main towers and suggests that their respective collapses may also indicate explosives were involved before the plane hit. The testimony of William Rodriguez, who worked as a janitor and was the last survivor to leave the North Tower on the day of the attack, supports this theory. While he didn’t explain what he heard that day, Rodriguez insisted that explosions were heard in the building before the first plane actually hit. Other contributions by engineers and architects support the idea that the Twin Towers collapsed in a manner consistent with involuntary collapse.

9/11 Exposed did little to explain its motivations for trying to expose the conspiracy, relying instead on asking questions rather than answering them. The film borrows heavily from existing documentaries and uses footage that some might find difficult to watch. The movie asks viewers to keep an open mind by asking disturbing questions about events that many people are still sensitive about.
