Filmmaker Lisa Fitzgibbons grew up with an uneasy feeling that things were not what they seemed. Then she finally learns that her father committed suicide.
Surprised to discover she’s not alone, she turns to other survivors and meets two who also lost their fathers at a young age.
Robert describes the 30 years it took to uncover the truth. Anne-Marie still regrets as a child she refused to kiss her father goodbye before leaving for school on her last morning.
We listen to their stories, presented simply and compassionately against a backdrop of poetic imagery. Buried emotions resurface as they talk about their experiences. Hope is reborn as all three come to terms with their father’s death as well as their own.
