An Introduction to Western Philosophy
Beginning with the death of Socrates in 399 BC. From history in the centuries BC to more recent figures such as Bertrand Russell and Wittgenstein, Brian Magee’s conversations with fifteen contemporary writers and philosophers provide insight into Western philosophy and its greatest An accessible and engaging description of the thinker.
Contributors include AJ Ayer, Bernard Williams, Martha Nussbaum, Peter Singer and John Searle, so this documentary is not only an introduction to philosophers of the past, but offers valuable insight into the views and personalities of some of the most influential philosophers twentieth century.
The collection is a bit dated, but I think they are real treasures and food for thought.
