On the Edge of the World documents Sea Shepherd’s controversial Antarctic operation against the Japanese whaling fleet. A well-trained and poorly equipped international volunteer crew devises a series of bizarre and ingenious tactics to stop the whalers.

But first they have to find the Japanese ship, a far more difficult challenge than anyone imagined – and longtime campaigner Paul Watson and first-time captain Alex Cornelison employ a variety of tactics to face the world The elusive opponent of the vast area finds Ross Sea.

With one ship (Farley Mowat) too slow to pursue the whaling fleet, a second ship (Robert Hunter) unsuitable for Antarctic ice conditions, and no country to support their efforts to enforce international law, the situation becomes increasingly desperate . Yet, against all odds, a true pirate story unfolds – the adventures of a modern-day David and Goliath.
