The fourth grade teacher Jinsen not only teaches students how to be students, but also teaches them how to live. He teaches them about teamwork, community, the importance of openness, how to cope, and the damage that bullying can do.
In the award-winning documentary “Children Full of Life,” fourth-grade students at an elementary school in Kanazawa, northwest of Tokyo, learn about compassion from their homeroom teacher, Toshiro Kanemori.
He instructed each person to write a letter of their true inner feelings and read it aloud in front of the class. As they share about their lives, children begin to see the importance of caring for their classmates.
Toshiro is an amazing example of what all teachers around the world should be. He truly understands what it means to educate children and has truly made a positive difference in the lives of these 10 year olds.
