The System, a Channel 4 special in which Brown shares his 100% sure way to win a horse race.
The show is based on the idea that a system could be devised to guarantee a horse racing championship. The cameras followed Khadisha, a member of the public, as Brown anonymously sent her correct prediction for five straight games, then encouraged her to put as much money as possible into Game 6.
To demonstrate the system to an audience, Brown flipped a coin that came up with ten heads in a row to demonstrate that it wasn’t impossible, just highly unlikely.
After betting £4,000 of Khadisha’s money on a horse in a previous race, Brown explained that the system didn’t really exist.
According to Brown, the principle behind the system (essentially confirmation bias or survival bias) is what is behind the belief in spiritualism or homeopathy and alternative medicine.
