With a population of 1.4 billion, the People’s Republic of China is vital to the planet. China’s rapid growth has implications for the local and global environment. In a world affected by globalization, China embodies this phenomenon both positively and negatively. China’s modern society has provided a better life for many people, but it has also brought about the loss of cultural traditions and natural resources.
In order to unravel some of China’s mysteries, Charles Annenberg Weingarten (Charles Annenberg Weingarten) and the “discovery” team embarked on a three-week field investigation, passing through Beijing, Shanghai, Tibet, Wolong, Xi’an and other places. Each stop gives you a deeper understanding of the country’s ancient cultural complexities and modern influences.
