Produced by talented and environmentally conscious French director Luc Besson, the film is the work of renowned aerial photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand, whose photography covers the landscapes of 54 countries, offering a journey unlike any other. Bertrand’s vistas of Earth from above are so stunning and exquisite that they will bring tears to your eyes.

Nut, along with its mesmerizing visuals, the film delivers startling statistics about climate change and how fast it is turning our beautiful planet into an uninhabitable place. Glenn Close does an excellent narration in English, Salma Hayek narrates the Spanish version, and other environmentally conscious actors contribute narration in French and other languages. They are all available online.

This documentary aims to inspire you to act in a more sustainable way and ends with guidance on how you can help protect our homeland.

Besson told me they called the movie Heimat, even though from his point of view it’s actually alien because “the word ‘Heimat’ has the same meaning in all cultures, in all languages. It’s A place that people of all ages – even young children – can relate to and love. It’s at the core of their self-confidence. Earth is our only ‘home’, so we must cherish it as such.”

This movie is a must see, especially for children. Well, and parents. Yes, everyone who thinks about the future of our species and others with whom we share our home.
