We live on a beautiful planet and as humans we have been here for thousands of years. Our planet needs no protection; life develops on its own agenda. Over the past 100 years, however, our footprint has had a huge impact due to the growth of the world’s population and the industrialization of our daily lives. Economics, profit and capitalization become more important than ancient knowledge that respects our planet and promotes new ways of living.

Greedy organizations distort our past legacy in order to find quick and ruthless solutions to our newly-presented needs. The ancient spiritual knowledge was replaced by the introduction of the concept that we live a life and then disappear – that we pass life from the past to the future through ourselves. Materialism is the main purpose of our life today…we are bombarded with commercials all over the world.

Today, unless we stop consuming like humans, we stand on the threshold of no return. Pollution is becoming a devastating problem that will endanger future generations of humanity. One of those pollutants is our use of single-use plastics. Civilization is clearly on an irrational course, and the current situation is hardly hopeful. If we don’t address what we’re doing to our oceans, we’re destroying the very building blocks of life.

Everything we share, the ocean, is not owned by companies or individuals. It belongs to the whole world and it will be destroyed. When we start losing these resources, we lose quality of life. Our business system, our environmental system and our social system will not survive…it will not survive. All other species suffer because of us. We will also lose the ability for future generations to enjoy the quality of life we are so blessed to have.
