Israel: A Royal Journey offers a lively travelogue through one of the world’s most culturally diverse and historically significant regions. The leader of the audience was none other than the country’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

The tour begins in Jerusalem, the 5,000-year-old city that is the country’s capital. There, Netanyahu shared details of his own life story as well as his country’s history of turmoil. Israel was first established as an independent sovereign Jewish state in 1948, but every decade since then it has struggled to preserve that identity. While a lasting peace with Palestine has proven elusive, the country has managed to make significant inroads and influence on the global stage.

The state is smaller than New Jersey, but stands out for its rich history and bright future prospects. Under Netanyahu’s generous direction, the filmmakers captured a number of stunning scenes, including a stunning soccer field filled with sunbathers, sailors and and paragliders on the background of the exotic Red Sea. Swim with wild dolphins at a unique resort and float on a water raft in the Jordan Sea.

Of course, the country stands for more than fun and prosperity. It is also the area where millions of people gather to glimpse the sacred. Back in Jerusalem, they stand where Jesus is believed to have ascended to heaven. They will visit the world’s oldest cemetery, where they will pay respectful visits to Netanyahu’s long-dead grandparents, admire sweeping panoramas of the ancient holy site, and talk about the mixed life of Jews, Christians and Muslims there. As Netanyahu points out throughout the film, this is the only time in history that all three faiths have unimpeded access to these landmarks.

It is a land of breathtaking beauty and mysterious contradictions. On a day trip, visitors can wander from their beach paradise into an environment that appears to have been untouched for thousands of years.
Israel: A Royal Tour puts you right in the heart of this fascinating country, capturing its spirit in vivid and vivid detail.
