Living in the Sewers of Bogota

VICE travels to Bogota, Colombia’s most populous sewage system. This documentary basically covers the lives of underprivileged, underprivileged children in Bogota, Colombia.

These children are often severely abused and neglected, and then they move to the sewers to live.

No light, fresh feces, rats, fear of being washed away when it rains, fear that death squads will come after you in the middle of the night and shoot, rape and burn you alive.

The death squads are composed of police, paramilitary personnel, wealthy businessmen or their lackeys, and their purpose is to carry out “social cleansing”. They literally open the vent and start the fire, or worse, they pour gasoline and ignite it.
