Love, Reality, and the Time of Transition

All we need is love, but do we really know what love is? Love is a sung-in-song, written-in-poetry, chattered-out concept, and it’s the “something” that many long for, mostly in the form of a significant other. The most frequently used phrases are: Heart-Centered, Be Worshiped, Love is the Key, Love Always Wins, Send Love and Light, etc. People use it inadvertently in their daily life. It is seen as the solution to all the problems of the world.

If it’s that simple, how is it that nothing on our planet has changed significantly despite the obvious advances in technology? We still witness massacres, abuses and wars. Many children and non-combatants in the Middle East and around the world have died due to war machines commanded by madmen who simply don’t care that people as surrogates hold up peace signs and declare their love for change.

If we look at it more closely, we see that love is one of the most misused and misunderstood concepts. We mistake things like fulfillment, affection, devotion, responsibility, enthusiasm, ambition and many other feelings, thoughts and concepts for love in order to penetrate what is lacking within us.

These misconceptions are also often unintentionally used as a shield to view the world in a biased way, rather than a more biased way, looking beyond appearances to see oneself and the world and withdrawing from real life.

There is family affection among people, maternal love, fatherly love, community love, self-love, God love, and even love based on imaginary doctrines and concepts such as nation-state. So what exactly is love? How do we illustrate or explain such powerful energies? Words are very limited and can only accuse, but it is not.

Maybe we can start to examine what love is not. When it comes to social contexts, we often see domination plots, resentment and resentment, which are certainly not love, but expressions rooted in fear and possessiveness. Love is about feeling, but feelings cannot be based solely on chemical reactions in the brain.
