Sixty years ago, in the spring of 1945, while liberating Europe, Allied forces discovered evidence of atrocities that have haunted the conscience of the world ever since. As troops marched into German concentration camps, they systematically recorded on film what they saw and heard. Work on the documentary began in the summer of 1945, but the film was still incomplete.
FRONTLINE discovered it in a vault at the Imperial War Museum in London and first aired it in 1985 under the title “Camp Memories” which the Imperial War Museum gave it.
