This is a colossal bluff by the Israeli establishment, which sees any criticism of its policies as anti-Semitism. In 1977, award-winning journalist and filmmaker John Pilger made a documentary titled “Palestine Is Still the Problem” (1977). He described how nearly a million Palestinians were again driven from their land in 1948 and 1967. In this insightful documentary, he travels back to Jordan and the West Bank of Gaza, as well as Israel, to ask why Palestinians, whose right of return was recognized by the United Nations more than half a century ago, are still in dire conditions of limbo – during the longest military occupation of modern times During this period, the refugees were controlled by Israel in their own land.

“The fate and struggle of the Palestinians,” Pilger said, “will be crucial not only for the long-overdue recognition of their basic human rights, but also for whether the region, and the world at large, is drawn into war.” Israel is now the world’s strongest One of the great military powers. While nothing has changed, the danger has increased. The film is about a nation whose people have been traumatized, humiliated, yet resilient. To liberate less than a quarter of historic Palestine, they have no army, no air force, and no powerful friends — and they fight back with slingshots and now the terror of suicide bombers.
