Paradise or Oblivion is a documentary produced by The Venus Project. This documentary describes the root causes of systemic imbalances and harmful symptoms created by the system we currently have built.

This video presentation advocates a new socio-economic system, updated to today’s knowledge, incorporating the life work of social engineer, futurist, inventor and industrial designer Jacque Fresco, which he calls a resource-based economy.

The film describes ways to move beyond outdated and inefficient concepts of politics, law, economics, or any other “established” human affairs, and use a combination of science and high technology to meet the needs of all people in the world.

It is not based on the opinions of political and financial elites, nor is it based on illusory so-called democracy, but on maintaining a dynamic balance with the planet that ultimately brings prosperity to all.

The Venus Project’s Paradise or Oblivion introduces viewers to a more appropriate value system that is necessary to realize this caring and holistic approach for the benefit of human civilization.

This alternative goes beyond the need for money, the controlled and scarcity-oriented environment we live in today.

This isn’t the “big movie” that the Venus Project is trying to make, but a documentary that introduces newcomers to goals and advice. See also: Future Design.
