Simon Reeve travels to a group of unknown countries – countries so unknown that they don’t officially exist.
During his travels, he visited little-known places in the world, including Somaliland, Transnistria, Nagorno-Karabakh, Adjara, South Ossetia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Somalia, Moldova , Taiwan and the former Soviet Republic of Georgia.
In this series, Simon Reeve learns to fish with the President of Moldova, becomes an unofficial Somali diplomat, and finds himself riding an elevator with the President of Georgia.
He visits a little-known country caught in a Soviet-era time warp and a mountainous country that claims to have the longest life expectancy on Earth.
He meets a villager who sells his kidneys to buy a cow and children who are forced to live in frozen train carriages. Refugee children throw snowballs at Simon in the middle of a minefield in Nagorno Karabakh.
