Programming of Life 2: Earth

These are the most important questions in the whole of human experience. Where did we come from, and what factors work together to ensure the survival of our planet? The Programming of Life series doesn’t shy away from exploring these questions, let alone reaching conclusions that are largely unpopular in the mainstream scientific community.

The Programming of Life 2: Earth features insights from a team of distinguished scientists, including geophysicist James Jordan, geneticist Dr. John Sanford, and information scientist Don Johnson, all demonstrating the limits of widely accepted modern science , cannot fully explain the complexity and uncertainty of the universe. In doing so, they discovered aspects of evolution that they considered flawed at best, and argued for the possibility of intelligent design.

In one section of the film, this tendency is illustrated by the Doctor’s observations. Hugh Ross was an astrophysicist and devout Christian who used the scientific method in defining the truth of his religious beliefs. According to the documentary, Dr. Ross undertook an extensive study to determine whether just the right amounts of nitrogen, oxygen and carbon could realistically support life as it does on Earth. His calculations put those odds at one in a billion.

Of course, the chemical balance that ensures our planet’s continued habitability is complex. Even the slightest deviation from the equation that created life would result in a completely different planet and make the prospect of sustainable life impossible. The Programming of Life 2: Earth presents its point of view in an elaborate way, treating these surprises as more than just accidental byproducts of the Big Bang.

Contrary to the widely accepted theory of evolution, the film despairs that these dominant views are overwhelmingly represented in textbooks and public forums without comment or challenge. However, the film ends by emphasizing the importance of challenging shared minds and knowledge, something that most supporters of evolution and intelligent design agree with.
