Salmon Confidential
Salmon Confidential is a new film about the government’s cover-up of wild salmon deaths in BC.
When biologist Alexandra Morton discovered that wild salmon in British Columbia had tested positive for a dangerous European salmon virus linked to salmon farming worldwide, the government launched a chain of events to overturn the results.
In search of the virus, Morton traveled from courtrooms to British Columbia’s most remote rivers to grocery stores and sushi restaurants in Vancouver.
The film chronicles Morton’s journey as she tries to overcome government and industry obstacles in her path, and struggles to deliver critical information in time to save BC’s wild salmon.
The film offers astonishing insight into the inner workings of government agencies, as well as rare footage of the bureaucrats charged with managing our fish and ensuring our food supply.
