Strain Hunters is a series of documentaries aimed at educating the public about the conservation of cannabis plants in the form of particularly endangered landraces that originate in some of the poorest regions on Earth.
The sole purpose of Strain Hunters is to identify, locate and recover as yet unstudied landraces of cannabis, enabling scientists and physicians to further advance the medical field’s understanding of the cannabis plant. Many previously unknown cannabinoid profiles are contained in cannabis landraces that originate in areas that have not had the opportunity for scientific research.
One day, these plants could help create better medicines for the sick and ailed. We believe it is our duty to preserve as many cannabis landraces as possible in our genetic database and to breed them with other well-studied medicinal strains for the sole purpose of scientific research.
No harm was done to people, animals, plants or the environment in the making of the Strain Hunters documentary. All CO2 emissions caused by the project have been offset by planting thousands of seeds.
The Strain Hunters documentary has the express and limited purpose of informing the public. Strain Hunters does not endorse or encourage any illegal activity.
