Symbolism in Logos
In the 20th century, urban environments were adopted by corporate logos. Research shows that the average person is exposed to approximately hundreds of logos every day.
Yet little has been reflected on the symbolism of these marketing tools and their mysterious origins.
Think about where you see logos on an average day: They’re everywhere on home furnishings, cars, clothing, TV commercials, billboards, badges, and sporting events.
The logo is one of the results of extensive research (funded by The Rockefeller Institute of Chicago) in cognitive science, psychology, and biology.
These studies are at the heart of “marketing,” a well-funded field whose findings are kept entirely secret from the public. Why are the results kept secret?
The show begins by discussing the symbolism of two major corporations, Starbucks and Apple. What does Logos really say?
Filmed in Bath and Bristol, UK, the documentary features Michael Tsarion, Neil Hague, Ralph Ellis, Leo Rutherford, Neil Kramer, Dan Tatman and Peter Taylor. The crew also interviews a priest, college students, teachers, and of course some random bar interviews.
