Crisis of Civilization is a feature documentary that explores how global crises such as environmental catastrophe, financial crisis, dwindling oil reserves, terrorism and food shortages converge into symptoms of a failing global system.
Filmmaker Dean Puckett, animator Luca Benny and international security analyst Dr. Interweaving archival footage and animation, Nafeez Mosaddeq Ahmed rings the alarm bells, proving that “another world” is not only possible, but on the way.
The film shows how a misunderstanding of the systemic context of these crises, combined with neoliberal ideology, creates a tendency not to address their underlying structural causes, but only their symptoms.
This has contributed to the spread of war, terror, and state terrorism, including violations of civil liberties, while accelerating rather than resolving global crises.
