Natalee Holloway disappeared in Aruba in 2005 and has not been found since. In this new documentary, two curious journalists try to find out what happened to her. They obtained the full police file on the case and showed several events that may have occurred that night and who may have been responsible for Natalie’s disappearance.
Natalee Holloway is on a school trip to the Dutch Caribbean. She just graduated from high school and had a great time with her friends. On May 29, they went to the Holiday Inn Casino where they stayed.
They drank and after a while they went to a place called Carlos ‘n Charlies. Before going to Carlos ‘n Charlies, they met Joran van der Sloot at the casino table and invited him to go with them.
Joran accepted the invitation and went there with the Karpo brothers. We were there to celebrate until the end of the day and then cruised around in the car. Natalee insisted on getting in the car and, according to witnesses, she yelled “Yoo-hoo Aruba” before they drove to the beach.
The controversy is: Did Joran leave Natalie on the beach? The police gathered leads on other whereabouts and even other suspects. Joran was detained twice in the Natalee Holloway case. The second arrest was made after Dutch police reviewed the case. The reasons for Joran’s re-arrest were never revealed, but in the police files we have some answers…new data on what happened that night.
Several witnesses contradicted Joran’s testimony. But if Joran wasn’t on the beach, where was he? During one of his many police interrogations, he offered a tip. He unexpectedly stated that he took Natalie to his apartment.
