This is a disturbing documentary about the incompetence, drug abuse, sexual misconduct, and corruption of the Afghan security forces, as well as the reduced role of US Marines due to the troop withdrawal.
In part one, we see the chaotic and hopeless nature of the Sangin community, one of the most violent districts in Afghanistan.
In the second part, we see first-hand footage of the battle between the Afghan army and the Taliban as well as insightful comments from the documentary’s producer, Ben Anderson.
Also featured are exclusive conversations with the American ambassador and the British deputy ambassador to Afghanistan regarding the possibility of peace in the region.
In part three, we are shown that the sad truth is that at the end of the day, we will be leaving behind unprepared security forces, which will lead to an increase in the number of Taliban attacks, civilian casualties, and, overall, a more dangerous and fragile nation.
